Technology

It is the set of scientifically ordered expertise , enabling design, create goods, services that facilitate adaptation to the environment and satisfying the essential needs and wants of humanity
Technological activity influences the social and economic progress , but from a business perspective makes is more oriented to satisfy the desires of the most prosperous ( consumerism) that the essential needs of the neediest , which also tends to make a use not environmentally sustainable . However , technology can also be used to protect the environment and prevent the growing needs cause a depletion or degradation of materials and energy on the planet or increase social inequities resources.

Importance of technology in our times

The technology provides great benefits to humanity , its main role is to create best useful tools to simplify saving time and effort of labor, technology plays a major role in our social environment and thanks to it we can communicate immediately by cellular telephony.

Industry

The production of goods requires the collection , production or generation of all its inputs. Obtaining the inorganic raw material requires mining technologies . The organic raw materials (food , textiles ... ) requires agricultural and livestock technologies. For the final product , the raw material must be processed in industrial facilities varied size and type , where all kinds of technologies come into play , including the necessary power generation.

thanks to a rigorous industrial organization. His main tool was the assembly

Criticism technology

From different ideological positions, there have been criticisms of the technology globally or partially. These critics believe that certain technologies or pose a threat, danger or evil of any kind, regardless of the use made of either all the current technologies pose inherently bad Studies of STS (Science, Technology and Society) have a clear objective to analyze the relationship between the development of science and technology to the problems of our society. CTS research concludes that the development of science and technology can not be understood outside of such conditions political, social, economic or cultural.

In this regard, it notes that the value of science and technology for the education of citizens is something that today is not discussed. So much so, that currently values education is no less important for the development of the individual acquisition of knowledge and skills. Science, technology and values are therefore basic elements of the definition of education in our times.

In a note published in the newspaper Clarin, Daniel Filmus

says, " forming participatory education and caring citizens who use new
technologies critically , help build a more just, humane and inclusive society." Technology is socially applied knowledge and values and beliefs of the society are influencing the effects of that technology ( Westby & Atencio , 2002). According to Shanker (1998 ) , science and technology are the basis of power , the key to prosperity , are simultaneously a culturally powerful tool that dissolves not only physical strength but life attitudes . The company was transformed and adapted to changes in technology.

The technology is present in everything around us, from our work, our community, our family, to our homes, in short everything related to daily life. However, in the education sector, we see that many schools today do not have the resources to integrate technology into the learning environment. Many are beginning to explore the big potential of technology to educate and learn. With proper use, the technology helps students acquire the skills to survive in a focused technological knowledge society skills. In the new millennium, advances in communication and information technologies are considerable. It is a reality that is more or less making education in our countries will progressively changing towards modernization. Amid great differences in access to technology, you can point to the impact and technological innovation that is evident at several levels: a) The social, cultural and economic level that shows the everyday work life with the presence of objects and technological processes : as the daily use of electronic processes in banking, registration for courses in educational institutions, access to government, educational and commercial portals, cell phones, camcorders, email, social networks (facebook, chat, text messaging , twitter, search engines, Skype and others). Also, technological objects impact as video games, iPod media players, b) The educational level in which access to the beam type video projectors, TV, radio, cinema, communications technology such as videoconferencing, email, platforms for courses, many of them free software like Moodle for example, tele-class, and design programs for data processing, presentations, word processing, graphic design and other commonly used tools.
